Tucked away on a private wooded lot on a hillside, this Meadowlark custom home – simply named “Unplugged” – was designed and built to take advantage of the serenity of the surrounding environs. The clients came to Meadowlark wanting to build a home that would take them away from the demands of their busy work schedules – a place to retreat and rejuvenate their bodies and minds, a place to to unplug from the day-to-day stresses of their job demands. They also wanted a home that would be built to last, easy to maintain, and ultra-energy efficient. This shows the exterior of an Asian-Inspired home In addition, from travel worldwide and from family heirlooms handed down, they had objets d’art they hoped to incorporate into the design in order to properly display the art for all to enjoy. The clients’ grandmother was a renowned artist in Korea and pieces of her embroidered artistry act as key focal points in several of the rooms.
