Gerrit Stollenwerk
Designer

Meet Gerrit Stollenwerk, our multi-talented architectural designer with a wicked sense of humor.
Born in Germany, he moved with his family to the States at the age of 8. He attended Lawrence Technological University where he acquired both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Architecture. But before he made his mark at Meadowlark, he decided to lend his skills to a framing crew during his college summers, diligently constructing residential homes. After his time as a framing crew member and fire suppression system designer at Shambaugh & Son, Gerrit finally blessed us with his presence, bringing along his one-of-a-kind comedic charm that perfectly complements our team.
Gerrit's favorite vacation moments are tied between two unforgettable experiences: exploring Germany with his father and to the sun-soaked shores of Jamaica alongside his lovely wife.
If he could have a superpower, he would choose flying. No more traffic? Sign us up for that!
Describing himself in three words, Gerrit is straightforward, a (total) jokester, and easygoing. With this winning combination, you can only imagine the laughter that echoes through our design center and office walls.
Believe it or not, when Gerrit was just a sprightly five-year-old, he dreamed of becoming a garbage man. Yes, you read that right. The allure of those mighty garbage trucks captured his young heart and left a lasting impression. We like to think that he still has a soft spot for those trusty garbage trucks.
When he's not hard at work designing beautiful spaces, you can find Gerrit tinkering away on his car or motorcycle. He's got a need for speed and a passion for all things mechanical.
The best part of his job? "Seeing projects through from start to finish."
Last but definitely not least, Gerrit aspires to design + build his own dream home.
