Enhancing a Family of Four’s Forever Home
When this family moved into their home in 2012, nothing had been touched since the house was originally built in 1969. They knew the property needed some work, so they poured their hearts into updating the interior, put in their own sweat equity, and used contractors for a few select projects. The result was a beautiful place to call home for this family of four, plus their furry family member, Ruby the Goldendoodle.
As time passed, the homeowners fell more and more in love with their neighborhood and considered this house their forever home. However, they didn’t feel that the exterior matched the style of the interior. They had no plans to move but had a strong desire to make their home everything they always wanted it to be – inside and out. That’s when our team stepped in!

Our Meadowlark Design+Build team met with these homeowners and gained a clear understanding of their goals. They wanted to update the look of the home’s exterior so the inside and outside worked better together. It was important to them that we maintained some of the home’s original charm while creating an updated, modern look.

The Results
A Picture-Perfect Exterior Transformation
Our team was able to transform the exterior of this property and breathe new life into the home. We updated the home’s exterior, and now it looks like something out of a postcard. We can only imagine how envious the neighbors are!
We also installed new insulation in the home to make it more energy-efficient. New windows are better insulated and reduce drafts, so the furnace and air conditioner don’t have to work as hard. We’re all about being eco-friendly here at Meadowlark, while also keeping our homeowners as comfortable as possible in their homes during all the seasons.
Everything on the project to-do list got checked off, and it’s all real now – the house that used to look a bit dated is now this perfect mix of modern and cozy. It’s like the family’s dream house magically appeared without them ever having to leave their favorite spot in the neighborhood. We wish them a “happy forever” in their cherished home!
