Are You Up for a Challenge?

Written by Meadowlark Builders | May 12, 2015 12:00:00 AM

I like challenges.

When I complete a physical challenge, I’m always left wanting more. Traditional marathons have turned into Trail Ultra Marathons, Ironmans, and Crossfit. Similarly, although I am a relatively healthy eater, several friends and I attempted a new diet: no processed foods or food items that you cannot pronounce. This nutritional challenge was more difficult than I imagined, and it was necessary to plan ahead to succeed.

Ingredients and Materials

Like the food we put on our plates, materials that we use in construction have been modified—and not necessarily for the better. Much like the food on grocery store shelves, the ingredients and processes that go into making building materials have been reduced to include such little value that we end up poisoning ourselves simply because we are looking at price over product.

Preparation Is Key

Before you begin your remodeling project, I challenge you to do your homework first. simplify your “ingredients” to include the basic elements that will give you the most “nutritional value” in the project. Spend the up-front time working with your designer to compose the perfect result for you and your family for many years to come.

And, of course, you don’t have to do the work alone. Contact us with questions and ideas.
