Meet the Intern: Minhee Choi

December 1, 2014Uncategorized

Hi, my name is Minhee and I am a new design intern at Meadowlark. I was born and raised in Seoul, Korea, moved to New York for high school and attended the University of Michigan. In college, architecture and design became a natural choice for me as an outlook to improve lives. I have experience working with various architecture companies, organizations and individuals by helping them promote their desired need through design projects. In the summer of 2013, I went to Indonesia and Thailand as a student researcher to improve the living environment where I saw the impact of residential housing on individuals’ health, safety and stability. jakarta1jakarta2 Waduk Pluit in Jakarta, Indonesia I love capturing the stories of individuals who were empowered to more energized, driven and meaningful lives through architecture and design. My passion in residential housing to impact an environment and individuals led me to join at Meadowlark Builders as an architectural designer. As I am working part time at Meadowlark, I am also working as a marketing and volunteer outreach intern at Habitat for Humanity Huron Valley. With my marketing and design skills, I consistently interact with volunteers and homeowners to strategize ways to enrich our Washtenaw County through affordable homeownership for low-income families. Outside of architecture, I enjoy traveling, and capturing lives and nature through camera lens. If you want to get to know more about me, please visit my website minheechoi.com or email me! I would love to learn more about you as well. (Below is a peek at my Europe Trip with Mr. Lego after my graduation. Enjoy!)
