The Not So Big House

Not So Big® Victorian home

“They readily understood the ‘feel and look’ we wanted the new house to have and they showed terrific commitment to (even passion for) its design and construction. Their enthusiasm for the project rivaled ours. They very successfully built us the home we had envisioned when we first thought about this project.”

The Project

This house, straight out of Sarah Susanka’s Not-So-Big® book series, is the embodiment of the new trend in building – smaller, more well-appointed homes that are ultra-efficient and designed for the way we actually live our lives. A Victorian period style, the interior is open and elegant, with charm, character and lots of custom work.

While it appears to be a normal house from the interior and exterior finishes, many advanced building techniques were combined to help these homeowners achieve the highest standard of green building.

Project Size:

Total square feet 2292: 1683 square feet on first floor, 609 square feet on second floor
